Protocol - The term 'protocol' refers to the way in which each individual manufacturer's fire alarm control panel communicates with its field devices; in effect the language they use. This protocol is specific to each manufacturer's control panel or field devices and once installed the system is locked to that protocol and will not allow devices from other manufacturers to be installed on the same system.

Freedom of Choice - Throughout the lifecycle of a system the end-user retains the ability to change provider and ensure competitive pricing if service levels prove unsatisfactory. In the UK and Ireland, there are more than 60 independent, competing Notifier-approved distributors, ensuring best value through competition. Closely supported by Notifier, they are fully trained and have the tools required to install, commission, maintain and service Notifier systems to the very highest levels.

Continuity - Notifier supplies systems through a network of authorised and trained distributors. Notifier Conventional call points

The MCP1A-R470 range are manual call points, both with a 470 Ohm resistor and Normally Open contact, complete with glass.notifier_addressable_/m700kaci-fg_mcp.jpg

The MCP1A-R470FG-01 is designed for semi-flush mounting and the MCP1A-R470SG-01 is designed for surface mounting.

The call points are designed to provide a manual alarm interface to non addressable fire alarm control panels.

Both call points are supplied in the standard red colour.

This unit is designed to be used with an extinguishant system and it is labelled “Extinguishant Release”.Installation efficiency, flexibility and compliance with the latest standards are at the heart of the call point range.

Notifier conventional panel NFS2-8

notifier_nfs_panel_/nfs_2-8_(b).jpgDeveloped with efficiency in mind, NFS2-8 zone non-addressable fire alarm panels offer both installers and end users a technically advanced range of functions while remaining easy to install, program and operate. A full range of non-addressable detectors, advanced non-addressable detectors, beam detectors, manual call points, duct mounting applications, audible and visible devices are available for use with the panels.

NFS2-8 series fire alarm panels are ideally suited for facilities including offices, shop units, public houses, B & B, clubs, small industrial units, nursing homes and schools, offering a wide range of benefits to installers and end-users.


NFS2-8 fire alarm panels are designed to simplify installation.

The enclosure consists of a two part arrangement of front cover and back box. The back box contains a central top key hole fixing with two additional fixing points that are angled to facilitate final alignment.

Eighteen knockouts in the top of the back box provide ample cable entry points and are suitable for both standard and enhanced cables.

All cable connections are conveniently located along the top edge of the control and power supply unit (PSU) modules.

Screw terminals are provided and allow for cable cores up to and including 2.5mm 2C.S.A.

Space is provided within the box for two option modules.

The SD-851E photoelectric smoke detector incorporates an optical chamber which is continually monitored by an on board processor which uses algorithms developed specifically for the unit. An alarm signal is only enabled in the detector once the processor is satisfied that a real fire has been detected thereby reducing the incidence of nuisance alarms
